Investors' meet planned for DMIC

The Central government will soon host an investors' meet for the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) projects, which invites potential investors to set up businesses in the hi-tech zone.

"The Centre is planning to host an investors' meet very soon to invite the anchor investors to set up businesses in the hi-tech zone," said Sanjeev Gupta, additional secretary, department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of commerce and industry.

Gupta was in Aurangabad on Thursday along with MD & CEO of DMICDC, Alkesh Sharma, state principal secretary (industries) Apurva Chandra, AITL managing director Vikram Kumar and DMIC general manager Gajanan Patil to review the work in progress in Shendra-Bidkin industrial park.

"We are in the final stages of completing the pre-PPP (private public partnership) process which includes forming special purpose vehicle and creating the basic infrastructure like transportation, water treatment, sewage treatment, among others," he said.

"This work will be completed in the next few months after which we will be able to invite anchor investors for setting up their businesses there. The respective states had taken the responsibility to create the necessary infrastructure," he said.
